He graduated from the Moscow Higher Technical School named after N.E.Bauman. Member of the patriotic movement of student groups since 1966. From 1983 to 1987 - the commander of the All-Union student squad, numbering more than 800 thousand students. At present, he is a member of the Board of the Youth All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Student Squads”, one of the founders of the New Cooperation Partnership Public Veterans Fund for Student Squads.
