For admission to the University, foreign citizens must submit the following documents to the Passport and Visa Registration Department:
- passport/ID;
- a copy of the translation of the passport into Russian (notarized);
- migration card;
- the tear-off part of the notification form on the arrival of a foreign citizen or a stateless person at the place of stay (temporary registration);
- *additional documents are possible, check with the Passport and Visa Registration Department.
After registration of the accomodation contract at the University dormitory (Building 1, room 317), students living in the dormitory must contact the Passport and Visa Registration Department (Building 1, room 301, room 307) and provide the following documents:
- passport/ID;
- application for registration;
- accommodation contract (1 bldg. 317 kab.);
- extract from the order of enrollment (for 1st year students) or extract from the order of transfer to the next course (15 bldg. 12 kab.);
- consent of the legal representative (for minors)
In order to extend the migration registration, students who do not live in the dormitory need to file a Petition from the university.
To receive the Petition, you must submit it to the Passport and Visa Registration Department:
- Application from the student (signed by the dean of the faculty);
- a copy of the Certificate of state accreditation (1 bldg. 111 kab.);
- a copy of the License to carry out educational activities (1 bldg. 111 kab.);
- a copy of all pages of the passport;
- a copy of the translation of the passport into Russian (notarized);
- migration card;
- the tear-off part of the notification form on the arrival of a foreign citizen or a stateless person at the place of stay;
- a certified copy of the Training Contract (15 bldg. 12 kab.);
- an extract from the order of enrollment (for 1st year students) or an extract from the order of transfer to the next course (15 bldg. 12 kab.);
- an academic reference (get from the dean's office of the faculty, college);
- confirmation of tuition fees (1 bldg. 317 kab.).
To extend the migration registration, students living in the dormitory must submit the following documents to the Passport and Visa Registration Department:
- passport/ID;
- a copy of the translation of the passport into Russian (notarized);
- migration card;
- accommodation contract (building 1, room 317);
- an extract from the order of enrollment (for 1st year students) or an extract from the order of transfer to the next course (building 15, room 12
- a tear-off part of the form of notification of the arrival of a foreign citizen or a stateless person in place of stay.

To extend a visa for citizens of foreign countries studying at Moscow University for the Humanities, students must submit the following documents to the Passport and Visa Registration Department:
