XIX International Students’ Advertising Festival


XIX  International Students’ Advertising Festival will take place in 11-14 April, 2017 at Moscow University for the Humanities.

The statement of XIX International Students’ Advertising Festival

XIX International Students’ Advertising Festival (ISAF) will take place in Moscow University for the Humanities on 11-14 April, 2017.

    ISAF is held for purpose of developing creative abilities of future advertisement makers, searching original decisions of working out the advertising product and organizing advertising campaigns.

   ISAF is held with support of professional associations of the advertising industry, communication agencies and different companies.

The contest of works is held on free topicsin accordance with the following nominations:

  1. Commercial (video advertisement)
  2. Audio advertisement
  3. Publicity (printed advertisement)
  4. Non-standard data medium of advertisements
  5. Internet advertisement
  6. Communicational project
  7. Advertising photos
  8. Brand style

The terms of works’ submission

 Preliminary applications for participation in XIX   ISAF are accepted from 1 to 25, March 2017 by e-mail.

  Competitive works and accompanying application forms for basic nominations are to be given to the Secretariat of the Festival. It is necessary to follow strictly the technical requirements so that the members of festival jury could get the subsequent printout or could watch video advertisement or could listen to audio advertisement all of high quality. The jury evaluates the works. The jury consists of competent authority of advertising industry, designers, photo makers and producers.

The organizing committee of XIX  ISAF

  The organizing committee accomplishes the preparation and holding of XIX   ISAF on the base of Moscow University for the Humanities. The organizing committee consists of the University administration, the administration of the Faculty of advertising, the representatives of the advertising industry and mass media.

Students’ directorate

Along with the Secretariat of the Festival, the students’ directorate presents executive branch of the structure of the organizing committee. The directorate is the organ of the students’ self-government, which is formed by the delegation of the students of the faculty of advertising for the organization and holding the Festival.

The order of holding of the Festival

  The opening of the exhibition of works of the members of XIX  ISAF will be on 11 April 2017.

  The ceremony of the Festival opening will take place in the conference hall of 3d educational building of Moscow University for the Humanities.

The awarding ceremony of the winners and the ceremony of closing of the Festival will take place on 14 April 2017 in the conference hall of 3-rd building of Moscow University for the Humanities.

The organization of jury’s work

  The jury is formed for every nomination of the contest of the Festival. The competitive works, which the Secretariat receives from the participants of XIX  ISAF, are systemized in accordance with the nomination, coded and handed to the jury of each nomination till February 2017. The jury’s meeting is held outside the University. The jury works in two steps. On the first step the jury forms the short lists from the presented works. Then the jury identifies the winners by code numbers. After the confirmation of works, the names of the winners are decoded and the jury takes the decision.

  The jury recommends the works for the placement at the exhibition stands.

Festival Awards:

1. The diploma of 1st degree and the cup “ULA” (Whirligig) are handed for the first place in each nomination

2. The diploma of 2d degree is handed for the second place in each nomination

3. The diploma of 3d degree is handed for the third place in each nomination

4. The special diploma is handed for the creative achievements

Special Awards:

  • The Association of Russian Communication Agencies hands in the special award of the name after Yuria Boksera for the original advertising idea
  • The journal “Advertising technologies” hands in the special award for the original technology of production the advertising idea


The general rules of taking part in the Festival

    Within the Festival the master classes with leading Russian and foreign specialists of advertising industry are held. The students of universities and specialized secondary educational institutions are able to take part in ISAF.

   The quantity of works presented for participation in the Festival from one student (or from the group of students consisting of no more than 2 persons or from the creative groupconsisting of no more than 4 persons) is not lim ited.

  Authors can present the works on the Festival without personal participation.

   Transfer and delivery of works and another correspondence to Festival organizing committee is carried out at the expense of the sender.

   The works presented on competition do not come back. The application form for participation filled and transferred to organizing committee for the contest gives to organizers the right to use work at own discretion, to reproduce, to show as Festival advertisement, to exhibit during the Festival and upon termination of its work.

  The fact of presentation of the work at Festival means the consent with the rules set forth above.


Technical requirements to works

Video advertisement

Competitive advertising spots are accepted on data medium:

1) CD-R or DVD: file *. AVI compression PAL DV 24 or 25 k/second

2) DVD-VIDEO - PAL (MPEG 2).

After record it is necessary to check up disks on the presence of errors. Disks should be in plastic boxes.

3) VHS, SVHS - system PAL (three copies on the cartridge);

4) Mini DV - record in SP - system PAL (three copies on the cartridge);

5) BETACAM - record in SP - system PAL (three copies on the cartridge).

The participant should send the competitive accompanying application form with the disk. The disk box with the competitive work should contain the following information in printed form:

1. The title of the work;

2. The nomination;

3. The topic of nomination

(social advertisement/advertisement of goods and services);

4. Author’s surname, name;

5. The title of the University, course, faculty fully.

Audio advertisement

CD-Rom

The participant should send the competitive accompanying application form with the disk. The disk box with the competitive work should contain the following information in printed form:

1. The title of the work;

2. The nomination;

3. The topic of nomination

(social advertisement/advertisement of goods and services);

4. Author’s surname, name;

5. The title of the University, course, faculty fully.

Printed advertisement

The electronic version of work of size A4 is in format JPEG or TIFF with the permission 150-300pixels/inch on CD-R.

The participant should send the competitive accompanying application form with the printouts of works in duplicate in format А4.

On the disk box with the competitive works and on the other side of printout there should be a sticker which contains the following information:

1. The title of the work;

2. The nomination;

3. The topic of nomination

(social advertisement/advertisement of goods and services);

4. Author’s surname, name;

5. The title of the University, course, faculty fully.

Non-standard data medium

The electronic version of work of size A4 is in format JPEG or TIFF with the permission 150-300pixels/inch on CD-R.

The participant should send the competitive accompanying application form with the printouts of works in duplicate in format А4.

On the disk box with the competitive works and on the other side of printout there should be a sticker which contains the following information:

1. The title of the work;

2. The nomination;

3. The topic of nomination

(social advertisement/advertisement of goods and services);

4. Author’s surname, name;

5. The title of the University, course, faculty fully.

Internet advertisement

It is necessary to present the Internet address of the site or materials on electronic carriers (CD-Rom).

The participant should send the competitive accompanying application form with the disk. The disk box with the competitive work should contain the following information in printed form:

1. The title of the work;

2. The nomination;

3. The topic of nomination

(social advertisement/advertisement of goods and services);

4. Author’s surname, name;

5. The title of the University, course, faculty fully.

The communication project

The competitive work is to be done in Microsoft Office Power Point 2003 or Microsoft Office Word 2003. The title pages in both formats are obligatory. The volume of the work should not be more than 30 pages. The electronic version of work is СD-R.

The participant should send the competitive accompanying application form with the disk. The disk box with the competitive work should contain the following information in printed form:

1. The title of the work;

2. The nomination;

3. The topic of nomination

(social advertisement/advertisement of goods and services);

4. Author’s surname, name;

5. The title of the University, course, faculty fully.

Photo advertisement

The electronic version of work of size A4 is in format JPEG or TIFF with the permission 150-300pixels/inch on CD-R.

The participant should send the competitive accompanying application form with the printouts of works in duplicate in format А4.

On the disk box with the competitive works and on the other side of printout there should be a sticker which contains the following information:

1. The title of the work;

2. The nomination;

3. The topic of nomination

(social advertisement/advertisement of goods and services);

4. Author’s surname, name;

5. The title of the University, course, faculty fully.

Brand style

The electronic version of work of size A4 is in format JPEG or TIFF with the permission 150-300pixels/inch on CD-R.

The participant should send the competitive accompanying application form with the printouts of works in duplicate in format А4.

On the disk box with the competitive works and on the other side of printout there should be a sticker which contains the following information:

1. The title of the work;

2. The nomination;

3. The topic of nomination

(social advertisement/advertisement of goods and services);

4. Author’s surname, name;

5. The title of the University, course, faculty fully.


Attention!

1. The title of the work in application forms, on CD and on the printouts should be identical. The works presented in such nominations as Video advertisement, Audio advertisement, Internet advertisement, Communication project should be send on the separate data medium (1 CD for 1 nomination).

2. For reliability of delivery of works to the addressee participants should take advantage of express service or to send works as the parcel post with the notice.

3. The works, which come to Organizing committee of the Festival after the 31, March 2014, and also works, which technical workmanship do not correspond to requirements presented in the present Position, are not considered by competitive jury, and also cannot be included in the catalogue and be demonstrated at exhibition stands.
